Nicki Brandt ('06) - is an aviculturalist with the Alaska Sealife Center in Seward, Alaska. Anne Marie Clarke ('03) - is watershed coordinator for the Robert E. Lee Soil and Water Conservation District, Appomattox, VA. Kristin Farris ('03) - is attending graduate school in journalism at the University of Cardiff, Wales. Rebecca Gheen ('03) - is currently in graduate school at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. She was recently in Kenya interviewing members of the Green Belt Movement, a reforestation movement founded by recent Nobel laureate Wangari Maathai. Medora Hackler ('04) - is an environmental analyst for E² Inc. in Charlottesville, VA. Joanna Meade ('06) - is an assistant account executive for environmental claims with St. Paul Travelers Insurance in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Christy Michaels ('04) - is an environmental scientist for Hydrex Environmental, Inc., Nacogdoches, TX. Kelly Monical ('02) - recently graduated from the Willamette College of Law in Oregon. Tasha Purcell ('04) - is in the Apprentice Program in outdoor education at the High Mountain Institute in Leadville, Colorado. Leah Reedy ('05) - is a compliance auditor for the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. Shannon Robison ('02) - is an environmental health specialist for the Edgar County (IL) Public Health Department. Shannon Smith ('04) - is working for The MITRE Corporation, a non-profit research firm in Washington, DC. Andrea Stassi ('04) - is working as a graduate environmental scientist for Jacobs Babtie, a management consulting firm in Glasgow, Scotland. Melanie Stine ('06) - is a biologist assistant with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. Maria Thacker ('02) - completed a dual Masters in Public Health degree in Health Education/Communications & Maternal and Child Health from Tulane University and is now a marketing and projects manager at the Georgia Biomedical Partnership. Carrie Thomas ('04) - is a petroleum compliance inspector with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. She also has a beautiful little boy named Peyton. Kathy Wilson ('06) - is working on her Masters degree in Environmental Chemistry, Toxicology and Risk Assessment in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University.
